Guided Photo Walk

Join professional bilingual photographer Daniel Perales for a guided photo walk inspired by the Spirit Guides exhibition at Sonoma Botanical Garden - offered in both English and Spanish. This outdoor experience invites you to explore the Garden as a living gallery where art and nature meet.

During the walk, you’ll have opportunities to photograph the exhibition’s vibrant sculptures—imaginative hybrid animals that serve as spirit guides and astrological embodiments of human character—set among the Garden’s natural landscapes. These monumental works by Jacobo and María Ángeles offer dynamic shapes, bold colors, and expressive forms that invite visual exploration.

Daniel will share guidance on composition, lighting, perspective, and capturing seasonal detail, helping you create images that reflect both artistic intent and the spirit of the Garden. Participants of all levels are welcome to slow down, observe deeply, and craft compelling visual stories inspired by the interplay of sculpture, plant life, and light.
