Marcus King Band: Summer 2025 Tour

A 29-year-old guitar phenom and innovative songwriter, Marcus King can seamlessly shift from swaggering rock to supersonic soul, having written songs and performed onstage for half his life. All five members of his band — drummer Jack Ryan, bassist Stephen Campbell, trumpeter and trombonist Justin Johnson, saxophonist Dean Mitchell, and their rotating keyboardists — form a blistering yet soulful unit that has honed its synergy through relentless touring.

From the start, King earned rave reviews for his kinetic musicianship. The Washington Post described him as a “guitar phenom” at age 20. His album Carolina Confessions, produced by Grammy Award-winning Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson), topped the Americana radio charts and received critical acclaim from outlets including VICE Noisey, NPR, and Rolling Stone, which called him an “electrifying rock performer.” King recently completed a string of dates with Stapleton, who called him “one of his favorite artists” when King joined him onstage.
