Mozzarella Making Cooking Demo

Fresh mozzarella is the best mozzarella, and now you can learn how to make it yourself! This workshop at Gold Ridge Organic Farms will walk you through the process of crafting fresh mozzarella by hand, then show you how to feature it in a summery Caprese salad with organic tomatoes, Gold Ridge organic olive oil, and fresh basil.

The event begins with a 20-minute guided stroll through the farm’s organic olive and apple orchards. From there, guests will gather in the charming Apple Cottage kitchen for a demonstration-style class. Participants will gain insights into using olive oil to create rich, flavorful dressings and will enjoy tastings of the finished dishes.

After class, guests will be transported back to the Farm Shop in a vintage pink VW van and will receive 10% off all Farm Shop purchases made on the day of the event.

The workshop is led by Stephanie Rosenbaum Klassen, manager of the Farm Shop and Tasting Room. Klassen is a seasoned cookbook author, teacher, and food writer. Her books include A Little Taste of San Francisco, World of Doughnuts, and Honey from Flower to Table. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, Edible publications, and more.
