The decadent Gods and Goddesses of Greek Mythology were intertwined with the luxuriant sun drenched Aegean Islands. The dreamlike havens of stunning mountains and azure waters provided the settings for history’s most romanic legends. These engaging tales of drama that explore fundamental human emotions continue to captivate us thousands of years later. They established the storytelling foundation for much of modern literature, film, and fantasy.

Aphrodite, the goddess of love and unbridled passion, was birthed from the sea foam and carried on a scallop shell to the Island of Cyprus. Dionysus, the god of wine and fertility, was raised on Naxos and fell deeply in love with the abandoned princess Ariadne on its shores. Delos, considered the most “scared” island, was the birthplace of the twin gods Apollo and Artemis. Crete, the largest Island in Greece, is the legendary birthplace of Zeus, the king of the gods. Aeaea and Ogygia are mysterious, mythical islands where the sorceresses Circe and goddess Calypso resided in The Odyssey.
