Mystic Theatre Comedy Shows

The historic Mystic Theatre in downtown Petaluma is serving up a diverse and hilarious lineup of comedy shows this summer. From local stand-up showcases to drag parodies and musical puppet horror, the venue will spotlight a wide range of performers sure to draw laughs from every kind of comedy fan. Here’s what’s coming to the stage:

Aug. 7: Grindhouse Comedy All-Star Event with Ellis Rodriguez: Local saloon McNear’s joins forces with Petaluma’s stand-up scene to present a pop-up comedy night upstairs in the Red Bull Room. Grab dinner at McNear’s before the show and enjoy what organizers call “the best food in Petaluma.” Produced by Grindhouse Comedy, the showcase promises premier comedy across Northern California in unexpected places.

Aug. 20: Puppeteers for Fears: Oregon-based troupe Puppeteers for Fears brings its offbeat & hilarious blend of horror, sci-fi, rock & roll, and puppetry to the Mystic stage. Founded as a Halloween cabaret in 2015, the group has since sold out venues nationwide with its original musicals featuring supernatural monsters, killer robots, lonely sasquatches, and more — all performed with live music, video, and elaborate puppets.
