Petaluma’s Salute to American Graffiti Car Show & Cruise

Petaluma’s Salute to American Graffiti takes film lovers, classic-car fans, and travelers looking for a slice of small-town Americana to their happy place. Each spring, historic downtown Petaluma celebrates its starring role in George Lucas’ iconic film American Graffiti. During the event, hundreds of gleaming hot rods, muscle cars, and vintage cruisers fill the historic district for a car show and cruise. Many of the downtown blocks seen in the movie remain remarkably recognizable today, which is part of what makes Petaluma’s Salute to American Graffiti so special.

The Salute includes three days of festivities. Besides the Show and Cruise on Saturday, there’s a dinner on Thursday for the folks who have registered a vehicle, and a Cruise-In and Kickoff Social 4 p.m. to  8 p.m. at the Plaza North Shopping Center (North McDowell Blvd at Washington St) on Friday, which is open to all.
