Reclaim, Repurpose, Reimagine Exhibition Reception

Reclaim, Repurpose, Reimagine, an exhibition highlighting the transformation of discarded objects into works of art, will open with a public reception on Sept. 4 at Sonoma State Universitys Art Gallery.
The exhibition will feature work by five Bay Area artists Mia Feuer, Bryan Keith Thomas, Arleene Correa Valencia, Richard Lang, and Judith Selby Lang of One Beach Plastic alongside selected pieces from The Recology Artstart Student Hub (TRASH) summer residency program.
Curated by Eileen Parent and Stefan Kiesbye, RRR includes sculpture, fiber arts, painting, photography, and mixed media. Each piece reflects the artists narrative while engaging themes of resilience, diversity, vulnerability, and cultural identity. The gallery said the show encourages visitors to reconsider the potential of reclaimed materials while exploring environmental sustainability, heritage, and personal growth.
