Redwood Connections

Engage, tune in, and experience the forest in a whole new way with California Naturalist Laura Wagner.

This guided experience blends hiking, natural science, sensory exploration, and mindful reflection as you make your way to the park’s ancient redwood, a 2,000-year-old giant tucked into the slopes of Sonoma Mountain. Along the way, you will pause for interactive moments that engage your senses such as touch, scent, sound, and sight, opening new ways to experience the forest around you.

The outing features a moderately paced four-mile hike with approximately 620 feet of elevation gain. The experience concludes with a guided meditation beneath the redwoods and a quiet, reflective walk through the enchanting fairy ring forest.
