Running Fence Anniversary Celebration and Reunion

Please join us for a special reunion celebrating 50 years since Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s Running Fence.

This gathering is for everyone who was part of Running Fence, remembers it, or has been inspired by it. Ranchers, artists, crew members, activists, public officials, neighbors, friends, and families are all welcome.

Join us for:

• Sharing memories and stories.
• Recording your Running Fence memories with our on-site videographer.
• A recreation of the cake Christo and Jeanne-Claude made for their first meeting with local ranchers.
• Screening of The Running Fence Revisited By Wolfram Hissen.
• Interactive art activities inspired by the exhibition for all ages.
• A special toast and cutting of the cake at 2:00 p.m. celebrating Running Fence, Christo and Jeanne-Claude, and everyone who helped make the project possible.
