Shades of Sangiovese: A Food & Wine Experience

From a lighter Chianti-inspired style to a bolder Brunello expression and even a Super Tuscan–style blend, Michael Muscardini’s star grape is undeniably Sangiovese—and this experience is a deep dive into its many shades of character.

Join us at la tavola di famiglia for an immersive tasting that explores how Sangiovese expresses itself across different styles, clones, Sonoma soils, elevations, and vintages. Taste selections from both barrel and bottle while learning how “Old World” winemaking philosophy shaped certain vintages, and how others leaned into a more approachable, “New World” drinking style.

Throughout the experience, we’ll explore what makes this food-friendly grape so compelling—focusing on acid, tannin, and balance, and how thoughtful elevated cheese pairings can unlock Sangiovese’s signature herbaceous, floral, and spicy notes.

Expect a relaxed, communal atmosphere with shared tasting boards (served family-style), guided education, and plenty of time to savor and compare.
