Tastes & Tales of Italy

Join Slow Food Sonoma County North for Tastes & Tales of Italy, a special evening of food, stories, and community. This event celebrates our chapter’s delegates who attended Terra Madre Salone del Gusto, an international showcase of sustainable food and farming held in Turin, Italy.

The evening includes a four-course Italy-inspired dinner crafted by Chef Ryan Ramey of Americana & Estero Café, featuring locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. Guests will enjoy stories and photos from the 2024 Terra Madre gathering, a silent auction offering unique local experiences and artisan goods, and wines from Sonoma County poured throughout the evening.

Our honored delegates — Tiffany Holbrook of Wise Acre Farm, Samantha Ramey of Americana & Estero Café, and Donna del Rey of Relish Culinary Adventures — are all Snail of Approval awardees and local leaders in sustainable food.

The sample menu includes appetizers such as peaches with creamy cheese and honey, anchovy crostini, and Wise Acre Farm beef meatballs. The entrée is Italian fry bread with local charcuterie, followed by a main course of saffron risotto with Liberty Duck and gremolata, served with grilled summer vegetables. Dessert will feature buttermilk panna cotta with candied hazelnut crunch.

Silent auction items include a two-night stay at an ocean-view Sea Ranch home, a wine tasting for four at Papapietro Perry Winery, a basket of local olive oil, artisan ceramics, a hand-woven Guatemalan mat, and tickets to future Slow Food dinners, including the upcoming 100-Mile Dinner in May 2026.
