Thursday Sunset Paddle & Party at The Floathouse Petaluma is a once-a-month evening gathering that combines a relaxed paddle with dockside snacks and community time along the waterfront.

Launching around 5:30 p.m., paddlers head out onto the calm tidal waters of the Petaluma River, a scenic waterway that winds through historic downtown before opening toward the wetlands of San Pablo Bay.

As the seasons shift, the length of the paddle adjusts with the daylight—stretching into the long evenings of summer and shortening again as autumn approaches.

The group returns to the dock about 30 minutes before sunset, when everyone gathers for simple snacks, conversation, and views of the evening sky over the river.
