LALA’S makes over 100 different jam varieties per year, and her retail shop features only MADE IN SONOMA COUNTY food products–local honey, olive oils, mustards, biscuit mix, toffee. Beginning in January, LALA creates all kinds of marmalades- Orange, Lemon, Blood Orange, Irish, Scottish-using the recipes her grandmother brought with her from Scotland. Strawberry jams come next. Stone fruit begins with cherries and then apricots and then peaches, pluots, plums, pears. Summertime also brings blackberries, blueberries and raspberries.
In her commercial kitchen, LALA makes small batch, low sugar jams with no artificial pectin. Most of the fruit is local. Many of the fruits are organic. Here are some of her specialty jams: STRAWBERRY ROSEMARY, ORGANIC CHAMPAGNE APRICOT,BLACKBERRY MINT, AFGHANI PEACH CARDAMOM, STRAWBERRY LIME, JALAPENO PEPPER JELLY and there are many more.
