  • Cloverdale River Park runs along the west bank of the Russian River in northern Sonoma County. The park features a paved 1-mile trail through riparian forest, individual and group picnic areas, fishing access, and a launch for kayaks, canoes, and drift boats.

The park is a beautiful destination for birding and wildlife viewing. It is the only public, developed river access between Healdsburg and Mendocino County. There are no lifeguard services. The park has a restroom but no drinking fountain. Dogs allowed on leash. Open daily from 7 a.m. to sunset.

Very simple, rustic, nature oriented - with paved walkways. Go with someone - we encountered vagrant walking past us. We were glad to be five plus a dog.

    • Great walk

Love to walk from south to north and back again. Lovely picnic area at the north end and some nice beaches on the river a short walk away.
