Cloverdale River Park runs along the west bank of the Russian River in northern Sonoma County. The park features a paved 1-mile trail through riparian forest, individual and group picnic areas, fishing access, and a launch for kayaks, canoes, and drift boats.
The park is a beautiful destination for birding and wildlife viewing. It is the only public, developed river access between Healdsburg and Mendocino County. There are no lifeguard services. The park has a restroom but no drinking fountain. Dogs allowed on leash. Open daily from 7 a.m. to sunset.

Not the best at this time of the year
Paved pathways and pet friendly. Clean restrooms. Pay for parking. At the time we were here, it was hot and dry. The creeks under the bridges we crossed were all dried up. The river was nice enough...
River is rustic and natural
Very simple, rustic, nature oriented - with paved walkways. Go with someone - we encountered vagrant walking past us. We were glad to be five plus a dog.
Great walk
Love to walk from south to north and back again. Lovely picnic area at the north end and some nice beaches on the river a short walk away.
