  • Pepperwood is a leader in advancing the health of California’s land, water and wildlife. Located in the heart of Sonoma County – a globally recognized biodiversity “hotspot” – Pepperwood manages a 3,200-acre biological reserve and the Dwight Center for Conservation Science. The Dwight Center is a hub for climate, ecosystem, and wildfire research and the reserve serves as a living laboratory hosting researchers from around the world. The Dwight Center is also a center for ecological education programming for all ages.

Pepperwood is open to the public by appointment only, but we have an ongoing suite of classes, hikes, workshops, and volunteer opportunities that you can sign up for on our website at pepperwoodpreserve.org/get-involved/classes-events. For just $50 a year, you can become a Friend of Pepperwood, and enjoy discounts on classes as well as invitations to special events and hikes.
