Elevations within the 3,900 acre park range from 600 feet at the entrance to 2,729 feet at the top of Bald Mountain, which overlooks the Napa and Sonoma Valleys with Mount Saint Helena to the North. On clear days, the view includes portions of the San Francisco Bay Area and even a glimpse of the Sierra Nevada. Twenty-five miles of trail wind through three distinct ecological systems. This is a wonderful place to hike near to Santa Rosa. Plenty of parking, with hiking levels for everyone. I prefer the Meadow, Brushy Peaks, Red Mountain, Headwaters, and Lower Bear Mountain loop...
