This popular park in northwest Sonoma features soccer and baseball fields, tennis and volleyball courts, a large playground, multiple picnic sites, and nature trails winding through meadows and woods along Sonoma Creek. Maxwell Farms’ 2.5 miles of level trails offer easy hikes under giant oaks and bay trees in the park’s 40 acres of riparian backcountry. Maxwell Farms also includes Macdougald Skateboard Park, which was built through local grants and donations and is managed by the city of Sonoma. Dogs allowed on leash. Open daily from sunrise to sunset.
