  • Located in the Heart of Sonoma Valley, Loxton Cellars is a working winery surrounded by 5 acres of estate vineyard. It is the intent of owner/winemaker, Chris Loxton, to produce handcrafted wines, made without compromise, that show balance and a sense of place. The Estate vineyard provides about 40% of the annual production which is typically 3,000 cases and the remaining fruit is sourced from premium vineyards throughout Sonoma County under long term agreements. Wines are sold through wine club, mailing list, tasting room and at a few local restaurants. We enjoy seeing visitors at our working winery in Glen Ellen and are open 7 days a week from 11 am to 5 pm for tastings. Group tastings (5+ people) are available by reservation, please contact 707-935-7221 to arrange. We also offer the following specialty tastings: Reserve Tastings - 1pm daily (advance reservation required) Join us in our Reserve Room for a relaxed seated tasting away from the bar. Hosted by one of our knowledgeable staff, you will enjoy a selection of wines that will include some of the limited wines not normally poured in our tasting room. "Walkabout" tours - Saturday & Sunday at 10:30 (advance reservation required) Get behind scenes to experience what we are doing in the vineyard and what is happening at the winery. Discover how different soils in the vineyard influence the type of wines being made and what really goes into a farming decisions. The tour will conclude with a private sit down tasting where we will guide you through the vineyard and winemaking practices that determine the final outcome of the wines.
