Wineries Offer Unique Event Spaces

Sonoma County, California is home to more than 425 wineries, and many offer private and unique event spaces that are not only perfect for business groups, but also offer delicious rewards for work well done. More than just meeting spaces, these venues can create memories for a lifetime.

You could organize an all-day seminar in a sunlit library or garden courtyard, keeping attendees motivated, happy, and alert with spectacular vineyard views. Next, you might host a fun-filled team building exercise of blending your own wine, followed by a spectacular farm-to-table dinner served in a wine cave.

Can an ordinary conference center ballroom compare to these treasures? Absolutely not!

Benziger Family Winery unfurls above the Sonoma Valley village of Glen Ellen, offering a number of unique private event options.  For instance, their 27,000-square-foot wine cave has 1,600 square feet of banquet space that can accommodate 120 guests for lunch or dinner. Their charming barn can host meetings, wine blending seminars, and meal functions for up to 120, and an outdoor terrace can seat up to 220 amid beautiful gardens and rolling mountain foothills. Bonus: Your group can spend their day here on a private walking or tram tour, providing an intimate introduction to Northern California wine country, Biodynamic farming, and the art of winemaking.

Francis Ford Coppola Winery in Geyserville, California

Francis Ford Coppola Winery was founded by its namesake movie legend, and Francis himself calls it, “…a wine wonderland, a park of pleasure where people of all ages can enjoy all the best things in life.”  , With eight different venue options in a sprawling chateau setting—including a movie museum and a fabulous swimming pool—this high-profile destination can accommodate groups from 15 to 300, providing custom extras like a beautiful après-meeting wine and hors d’oeuvres party overlooking Alexander Valley on the West Terrace.

Outdoor terrace at St. Francis Winery in Kenwood, California

Reminiscent of a Tuscan estate surrounded by vineyards, St. Francis Winery & Vineyards can nimbly deliver wine country splendor to groups of 20 to 220 guests. Their Mission-style tasting room, outdoor terrace, and private event spaces frame offer spectacular views of the Mayacamas Mountains and Sonoma Valley, and special amenities include guided wine tastings, lavish luncheons, and wine-paired seasonal dinners.
