Creating Camp Snoopy

Go behind the scenes to learn about making the new "Peanuts" animated series "Camp Snoopy" and "The Snoopy Show" with director Rob Boutilier and storyboard artist Gavin Freitas. Learn how they stay true to Charles Schulz’s original comic strip while bringing new stories to life on the screen.

Boutilier has helped create new "Peanuts" animation with WildBrain Studios since 2018, serving as animation director for the Emmy Award-winning documentary "Who Are You, Charlie Brown." Freitas has animated and storyboarded numerous TV shows, including "The Simpsons," "American Dad," "Fairly Odd Parents," "SpongeBob SquarePants Movie," and "Rick and Morty," to name a few.

This presentation is in conjunction with the Museum’s exhibition "Here Come the Beagle Scouts!" and National Will Eisner Week.
