Rewards for Rubbish Volunteer Waiver
I, the undersigned hereby acknowledge that I have voluntarily applied to participate in the Sonoma County Rewards for Rubbish program, performing certain services for Sonoma County Tourism Bureau, Inc. and its participating properties (“SCT”). I understand and agree that a volunteer position does not constitute an employee – employer relationship with SCT and that I will not be reimbursed for any expenses. I am voluntarily participating in these activities with the knowledge that there is some risk that I may be injured in the course of performing these services. I understand that SCT will not be liable for any injury that arises out of the performance of volunteer activities and/or services. I have no medical limitations which preclude me from serving as a volunteer for SCT.
I hereby agree that I, my heirs, guardians, legal representatives and assigns will not make a claim against or file an action against SCT or any of its agents, officers or employees, for injury or damage resulting from negligence, howsoever caused, by any employees, agent or officer of SCT as a result of my participation in this volunteer activity or service. In addition, I hereby release and discharge SCT, its agents, officers, and employees from all actions, claims and demands that I, my heirs, guardians, legal representatives or assigns now have or may hereafter have for injury or damage resulting from my participation in these volunteer activities or services.
I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A PARTIAL RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND A CONTRACT BETWEEN MYSELF AND SCT AND SIGN IT ON MY OWN FREE WILL AND AFTER THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE IT REVIEWED BY AN ATTORNEY OF MY CHOICE.
