Cheese Tasting: Blue-Ribbon Winners from the American Cheese Society
Which cheeses will rise to the top in the 2018 American Cheese Society competition? Cheese expert Janet Fletcher will be at the competition in late July, scouting out seven category winners to present to you. This class is your opportunity to discover what the experts consider the peak of American cheesemaking. Along with the tasting of the winning cheeses, each ticket comes with a glass of wine or beer from the SHED fermentation bar.
Janet Fletcher is the author or co-author of more than two dozen books on food and beverage, including Cheese & Wine, Cheese & Beer and The Cheese Course. Janet publishes the weekly Planet Cheese blog, writes a regular cheese column for Specialty Food magazine and The Somm Journal and teaches cooking and cheese-appreciation classes around the country. She is the recipient of three James Beard Awards and the IACP Bert Greene Award for her journalism. Her writing has appeared in The New York Times and numerous national magazines, including Culture, Saveur and Food & Wine.
