  • Preston Farm & Winery is an organic and biodynamic farm and winery located in Dry Creek Valley near the historic farm town of Healdsburg, California. Founded in the 1970s by the eponymous Preston family, the nature of the business has changed over time from a conventional estate winery to a diversified farm, counting wine as one of many home-grown and hand-made food products. The Prestons include in their repertoire of concerns and commitments food, environmentalism, and community activism. Traditional in values, postmodern in practice, the Preston family, staff, farm and winery offer a timeless experience for the visitor and customer. Come taste our estate wines, homegrown olive oil, just-baked bread, fresh and pickled vegetables. Stroll the gardens, greet the animals, purchase provisions in our farm store, and picnic in the shade of our walnut tree. We welcome bocce players Monday through Friday, and sell Guadagni jug wine in the cellar on Sundays. Our hospitality is genuine and our agrarian setting is a welcoming slice of Dry Creek Valley. We invite you to enjoy our wines and seasonal cider on the property, but please leave other alcoholic beverages at home. As we strive to keep our picnic grounds intimate and enjoyable to all, we welcome groups of 8 or less. For larger parties prior arrangements are required; please contact our tasting room with inquiries. We are fortunate to have a wealth of both domestic and wild animal life on our acreage. For this reason dogs are not permitted in our picnic areas or tasting room, and must remain leashed elsewhere on the property. Weekdays and Weekends: 11am-4:30pm No appointment needed. $15 tasting fee refunded toward wine purchase

    • Bad vibes & dogs not welcomed

When we arrived, everyone seemed frenetic & stressed about setting up for a private event. The energy was not warm or welcoming at all. There are seemingly a dozen cats at this winery, so if you like...

I know that Preston Farms is one of those wineries along the Dry Creek Valley that receives lots of raves. I’m not one of them. Wines left a lot to be desired. This was our second winery of the...

    • Great wine, nice cats

We went here a few years ago 20 minutes before they closed (oops) and loved the wine. I liked the bottles we bought and we returned. The grounds are charming and there are about 13 cats that hang...
