A bigger, bolder guide blends rich storytelling, local voices, and inspired advertising to invite travelers deeper into Sonoma County

SONOMA COUNTY, Calif.,Sonoma County Tourism (SCT) is proud to unveil its 2026 Sonoma County Visitor Guide, a thoughtfully expanded publication that reflects both the destination’s direction and the people who bring it to life.

At 152 pages, the 2026 guide represents SCT’s most expansive storytelling effort to date. Designed to inspire and inform, the guide blends compelling editorial features, rich native advertising, and on-the-ground perspectives, inviting readers to explore Sonoma County in a more personal, intentional way.

“This guide is meant to be lingered over,” said Robert McGuigan, Design Marketing Manager at Sonoma County Tourism. “It’s not just about where to go, but also about how it feels to be here: the people, the pace, the creativity, and the sense of welcome that defines Sonoma County.”

Produced in collaboration with Wanderlust Content Studio, the 2026 Visitor Guide pairs visually striking design with immersive storytelling and advertising that feels organic and useful, reflecting how today’s travelers plan, dream, and discover.

A total of 50,000 copies will be distributed at key travel gateways, including major airports such as Chicago O’Hare (ORD), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Harry Reid (LAS), San Diego International (SAN), and Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County (STS), as well as select visitor and travel centers in California. The guide will also be available through SonomaCounty.com. This strategic placement ensures the guide reaches travelers early in their journey, often before booking decisions are finalized.

Local voices are woven throughout the guide, reinforcing SCT’s commitment to authentic, community-centered storytelling. Featured contributors include leaders from Sonoma County’s culinary, wine, arts, motorsports, brewing, and small business communities, offering readers an insider’s perspective on what makes the region distinctive.

“Our goal is always to tell Sonoma County’s story with care and intention,” said Frank Filice, Vice President of Marketing and Brand at Sonoma County Tourism. “This guide is an invitation to explore more deeply, travel thoughtfully, and experience a place that continues to open up in unexpected ways.”

The 2026 Sonoma County Visitor Guide will be available to the public in print and online starting late March.
