Bodega Bay
A classic fishing village with some of the best Dungeness crab and clam chowder around (locals swear by Spud Point Crab Company for its famous Dungeness crab sandwiches). Hike the clifftop Bodega Head Trail for stunning ocean views and spot migrating whales in winter. The town is also a must for classic movie fans: Alfred Hitchcock’s 1963 thriller “The Birds” was filmed in Bodega Bay and the nearby town of Bodega.

Fort Ross
Fort Ross State Historic Park brings history to life, telling the story of early Russian settlement on ancestral Kashia Pomo lands. Take an educational tour or join a naturalist-led experience for a glimpse into of life in the early 1800s.
Goat Rock Beach
Jenner’s most stunning beach features iconic sea stacks and a wide shoreline perfect for beachcombing. From March through July, it’s a prime spot for watching harbor seals bob and frolic.

Salt Point State Park
A wonderland of wind-sculpted sandstone, teeming tidepools and even an underwater park. Hike more than 20 miles of rugged trails and discover the region’s only pygmy forest, where the tiny trees are shaped by the coastal soil. The 3.8-mile Pygmy Forest Trail takes you through a diverse range of habitats in about two hours.

Sea Ranch
Renowned for its distinctive timber-frame architecture and beguiling beaches, this coastal community blends seamlessly with its wild surroundings. Walk the Bluff Top Trail through meadows and along dramatic cliffs.
Stewarts Point
A blink-and-you’ll-miss-it coastal hamlet with deep local roots, a beloved bakery inside the Stewart’s Point Store, and some of the best hidden hiking trails on the Sonoma Coast.
