Wine tasting needn’t be expensive, especially in Sonoma Wine Country, where many wineries offer free wine tastings or waive the tasting fee with a wine purchase. You may also find complimentary tastings on special days, at unique events, or upon arrival as a way of saying hello.
Locals Tasting Room, Geyserville
Tucked away in beautiful Geyserville, Locals Tasting Room has been a special treat for visitors, with tastings that are free for all. Marrying the charm of a boutique wine shop with the inviting experience of a tasting room, you’ll find exceptional wines crafted by six local boutique wineries.
Frick Winery, Geyserville
Frick Winery describes itself as “7.77 Acres and a Man,” referring to the 7.77 acres of land on a country road lined with native pine, manzanita, oak, wild blackberry and wild rocky vineyards, and of course the owner, Bill Frick. Here, reservations are not required, but appreciated, and tastings are free.
