Master Gardeners of Sonoma County present a tour of five unique gardens in and around the beautiful hills of Sebastopol. The theme this year is Warm Autumn Days...A Time to Plant, A Time to Harvest. The diverse gardens were chosen for their beautiful settings, unusual plants, and demonstration of good gardening practices. Experts will be on hand to answer questions about beekeeping, straw bale planting, habitat gardening, worm composting, and many other wonderful topics. Plants in the gardens are identified and you will find many of them at the Plant Sale that features a vast array of drought-tolerant perennials and succulents, some difficult to find in local nurseries. The Sonoma Master Gardeners' Garden Sense Program also provides a list of water-wise plants. This year, for the first time, they will also be selling edibles for fall planting, gently used gardening books, botanical prints, and original paintings by well known local artists of each tour garden. Don't miss the Craft Marketplace with its fabulous selection of garden-themed inspirations for home and garden, created by talented Master Gardeners. Visit sonomamastergardeners.org to buy tickets and find out more. Tickets are sold at all Copperfield's Bookstores in Sonoma County and at Readers' Books in Sonoma.
