First Day Hike (Gentler Version)

A new “Gentler Version” of the popular First Day Hike at Jack London State Historic Park is offered for those who prefer a shorter, less strenuous hike with plenty of opportunities to appreciate Mother Nature’s grandeur along the way. This 3.5-mile hike travels through the redwoods with mixed evergreens en route to the magnificent Ancient Redwood, with moderate elevation gain and some uneven rocky areas.

The hike begins at 11 a.m. and ends at approximately 1 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person, in addition to $10 per car entry fee (up to nine passengers). Reservations are required.
